THE FOUR INCH STUDS
Company Picnic
June 11, 2004

Here we are in the parking lot of our office building.  What a venue!  No expense was spared this year, as you can see by the faux lawn.  It did give me the opportunity to roll around on the stage without getting road rash.  Why no one took picture of that, I'll never know.  L to R: Tom (bass), John (guitar/vocals), David (guitar/vocals/ bandleader), Rick (drums), me (guitar/vocals).  For you vintage amp freaks, David is playing through a blackface Fender Super Reverb; I'm playing through a '67 Marshall JTM45 into a mid-60s Vox 2x12, plus a '59 Ampeg Jet/tweed Deluxe clone.

Sing it like ya mean it, Dave!

Here is a rare shot of me playing my ES-175.  I set it up for rock just for this show.

That is a BFSR on the left, even though it looks like a silver-face.  I call my rig my "small dual-amp rig" for this gig.  It's quite a bit more portable than my double headed half stack, which would be overkill for this show.  The JTM45 - run through a THD Hot Plate - is on all the time; the surprisingly loud Deluxe clone is kicked in for leads.

You just never know what you're gonna see at a FOUR INCH STUDS show.
