THE FOUR INCH STUDS
Rooster's Roadhouse
January 28, 2003

L to R: Tom (bass), David (vocals/guitar, bandleader), Rick (drums), John (guitar/vocals), Bruce (that's me!)(guitar/vocals).  In the back row we have Dave's nice wood-finished Fender Blues Deluxe sitting on his Blackface Super Reverb that he didn't use because it's too loud, Dave's H/S/S Strat, Rick's fan, Rick's drums, John's Tele, John's Strat (hidden), my Ibanez Flying V copy, my Les Paul and my JTM45 + Vox 2x12 rig.

I work as a consultant with an architecture firm in Alameda, California.  One of the firm's principals and some employees put together a band, THE FOUR INCH STUDS (formerly The Change Orders), which I've been a part of for the last few years.  We play covers of our favorites from AC/DC, Led Zeppelin, ZZ Top, Van Halen, Aerosmith, Doobie Bros, Lynyrd Skynyrd, Ted Nugent, Stevie Ray Vaughn, Eric Clapton, The Who and others, with some newer stuff thrown in like the Black Crows, Lenny Kravitz.  Since I've been with the band, we've only played at the firm's annual summer picnic (see pics of the 2002 picnic here).  Until now.

The whole gang!

"Concentrate, fellas!"

Havin' some fun.

This riff's for you, Chuck Taylor!

"Oh yeah!"

John's jammin' and I'm lookin' for my cue.

We're a happy bunch.

Stiff upper lip!

Here I am singin' and not playin'.

Look deeeep into my eyes...

There's that look again...

The dance floor is a stage, too.
